Pastor’s Message

Our pastor’s message page is the place where we house the typically bimonthly reflections of a member of our ministerial staff on the life of our congregation. It is a place where successes are celebrated, challenges are raised, and goals are set. We hope that you will continue to check out this section of the website, so that you might be well-informed as to current happenings within the life of the congregation. There is also a comment section included in each post, should you feel the need to respond.

A New Goal

We did it! On Sunday, January 29, 2012, we completed our goal for the year of having a different person during worship each week share how he or she is responding to God’s call to feed more sheep. What is more remarkable than a church… Continue reading

A word about time…

Is this ordinary time? Each year, following Pentecost, the church calendar enters into a period affectionately referred to as “Ordinary time.” It is that season of church life for which there are no major liturgical holidays and it lasts until… Continue reading

A New Goal…

GOOOAAAALLLL!!!! Although shouting “goal,” at the top of our lungs is usually reserved for soccer stadiums and hockey rinks, it is hard to not want to shout with excitement as we realize that we have once again met our goal for the year!… Continue reading

Backwards and Forwards…

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! It’s a time for cookies, caroling, parties, gift-giving, family gatherings, (did I mention cookies?), but it is also a time in which we look with hope to the future. Sure, sometimes that hope is simply that we might get through this “most wonderful time of year,” but at our best it is more than that… Continue reading

A New Beginning

On Sunday, September 26, 2010 we as a church made a new commitment to one another. After months of working together, listening to one another, and praying about both how God is working in our lives currently and who God is calling us to be, we rolled out our new mission statement as a congregation… Continue reading

Things are heating up!

Scientists have estimated that it was the hottest June ever recorded on the planet. While we have had our fair share of that heat here in central New Jersey, as a church things have been heating up as well… Continue reading
