Weddings
Kingston United Methodist Church is honored to serve the community by providing ministry to couples who wish to celebrate their marriage covenant in a Christian church. However, we are much more than “a place to get married.” Weddings celebrated at Kingston United Methodist Church must reflect a deep understanding of marriage as a sacred covenant between two people who choose to share their journey with each other and with God.
If you are interested in getting married at Kingston United Methodist Church, or in seeking pre-marital counseling from a Christian minister, please contact the church office ([email protected]).
Funeral and Memorial Services
Kingston United Methodist Church is ready to offer its facilities for the funeral or memorial service of its members. Under normal circumstances, our minister will preside at services in the church, at a funeral home, or at a graveside service.
A committal service at the graveside, other place of entombment, or during dispersal of cremated remains is offered as well and may take place following the funeral or as a separate service at another time.
In all circumstances, the minister will meet with the family to create a service of worship that is personal and appropriate to the needs of the bereaved.
Music
If you wish to have music for either a memorial or funeral service, our Minister of Music is available to make those arrangements. Selection of music is made with the Minister of Music. Music selection may be limited if the service is not held at the church.
Worship Program
Ordinarily, printed programs are not prepared for a funeral or memorial service. However, if desired and time permits, the church will print and supply a suitable number of basic programs for the service. You may also contract with an outside printer to provide printed programs.
If you need to make funeral arrangements with us, please contact the church office ([email protected]).
