Thursday’s Reflection
LENT IS the forty days before Easter (excluding Sundays) during which we turn our attention to God and the things that keep us from God. Lent begins with Ash Wednesday (March 9). continues through Holy Week (April 17–23), and ends at Easter (April 24).
Lent is observed differently in different traditions, but it is generally a time of turning toward God and turning away from things that separate us from God.
