Tuesday’s Reflection
AS CHILDREN OF A CREATOR GOD, we seem hardwired to practice our own unique versions of the creative process. Many gardeners describe their most sacred moments of connection to God as those when they plant and cultivate-participating in the holy process of growth. Weavers weave the threads of their lives in divine harmony as they practice their craft on the loom. Cooks lose themselves in the colors and textures of food, blending them into reminders to “taste and see that the LORD is good” (Ps. 34:8). Photographers report that zooming in on a flower or widening the lens for a landscape opens them to the wonder of creation. Painting, singing, writing, knitting, shaping pottery-all creative activities can be potentially prayerful pursuits.
