A Prayer for Light for Our Journey

Wednesday’s Reflection

(Based on Psalm 27 from The Message)

LORD JESUS, you are our light. You are our space. You are our zest. With you we have no need to fear.

We gather here in your name asking one thing only: that we might dwell in your presence, contemplate your beauty, and study at your feet. Our hearts whisper to us: “Seek God.” And so we come to seek you.

Point us down your highway, O God; direct us along well-lit streets. Show us your goodness as we walk this pilgrim’s way. Amen.

Tips for Your Spirit:
Personalizing Scripture: Sometimes we can personalize a passage of scripture by placing our own name in it. Some passages lend themselves to becoming personal prayers as we make ourselves the recipients of God’s Word. Try the practice, Personalizing scripture.
