Sunday’s Reflection
GUIDING GOD, I desire to live in meekness before you this day. I understand that to be meek is not to be weak but rather to be under your control. You have created every person with amazing potential, but that power in human hands turns into a problem and a pain. Only in your hands do we discover the right use of our lives.
Like a horse that submits itself to its rider through the bridle, I submit to your guidance through the promptings of your Spirit and the exercise of my conscience. . . . Today, I particularly feel the need for your guidance in ( ).
Give me the mind that was in Christ, namely the disposition of my life to want only what you want and to move in that direction when I understand what that is. Amen.

If you are a caregiver for a family member or loved one, this reflection is meant to encourage you and help you rely on God’s strength to make it through your daily challenges. If you know a caregiver, pray for that person and think about how you might be able to help; whether by sitting with the loved one for a while so the caregiver can get out, sending a card, making a phone call, or doing something to brighten the caregiver’s day.
