We have two services at 9am and 11am each Sunday during the school year.
(During holidays and the summer season, our schedule changes to one service at 10am.)
|What to Expect|
When you enter through the doors from the parking lot, you will walk into the fellowship hall. You are welcome to join with people chatting or hanging out in this space before or after the service. When you walk through the room a greeter will hand you a bulletin that has the order of service, announcements, and information about Kingston UMC. You are welcome to sit wherever you feel comfortable in the sanctuary.
Our services include a variety of hymns and songs, prayer, liturgy, scripture reading and a sermon. We also celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month. Our services are rich in tradition but crafted with creativity, utilizing different musical styles and innovative ways of connecting with God.
Each service lasts about one hour, special services going a bit beyond.
To us, the 10 am coffee hour is just as important as the service. We drink coffee, enjoy refreshments, and talk with one another. It is our hope that this is an extension of worship. We encourage those who attend the 9 am service to stay late, and for those who attend at 11 am to come early. We believe that God has designed people for community and we hold this time as a priority.
We believe children are a gift and are welcome to engage in the full life of the congregation.
Nursery care for children 3 and under is available throughout the services and coffee hour. During the 11 am service, kids age 4 through 3rd grade are invited to participate in Sunday School, as well as The Way for grades 4 through 6. This is a space for kids to learn about God in an environment and style that is designed for them.
We look forward to journeying together in faith. All are welcome.
Please check the calendar for any scheduling changes or any special events following the service.
